C9 – Short Course Visa

The C-9 Visa allows you to stay in Indonesia for up to 180 days to attend training with an Indonesian company or association. It allows you to take courses, study, and learn.

To obtain this visa, you can be sponsored by our agency or by an Indonesian company.
For any training conducted within a private institution (international company with an office in Indonesia), you must be sponsored by the Indonesian office.

The visa processing time is 5 working days* (excluding weekends and public holidays).
The C-9 is a single-entry visa. Leaving the country will result in cancellation of the visa.
This visa is issued with a 60-day validity starting from your entry date into Indonesia.

You are not allowed to work or earn money in Indonesia with this visa. You may not sell goods or services.

Extension:
It is possible to extend this visa twice, with each extension lasting 60 days. Shorter extensions are not available.
We can start the extension process 10 days before the visa’s expiry date.
The extension takes about 7 working days* (excluding weekends and public holidays).
To complete the extension, an appointment at immigration is required for a photo session. We will arrange this appointment and inform you of the date and location.

Process

Step 1: Send us the required documents for the C-9 Visa
Step 2: Our team verifies your documents
Step 3: Visa payment
Step 4: Process starts once payment is received (5 working days*, excluding weekends and public holidays)
Step 5: You will receive your e-visa via WhatsApp or email. You have 90 days to enter Indonesia
Step 6: Arrival in Indonesia. You must show your e-visa at immigration. Once you pass through, your visa becomes active
Step 7: We will message you to begin the extension process when appropriate

What is important to know

This visa does not allow you to work or receive income in Indonesia
This visa is only for training or tourism purposes
You must be sponsored either by an Indonesian company or by our agency
Please inform us of your travel or departure plans so we can manage your extension on time
We can assist you in obtaining this visa faster if needed
If you currently hold a VOA, it cannot be converted into a C-9 visa
The visa is single-entry; leaving Indonesia cancels it
Extensions must be initiated 10 days before visa expiry
An immigration appointment is mandatory for each extension
Only 60-day extensions are possible
Your visa is valid throughout Indonesia
If you overstay, the penalty is IDR 1,000,000 per person, per day
Immigration authorities reserve the right to change regulations at any time

For a C9 visa sponsored by Legal Legends the price is IDR 4,500,000 (includes 60 days validity)

Extension:

For a 60-day extension the price is IDR 1,900,000
