For ONSHORE applications:
- You can convert an existing visa into a Working KITAS.
- This depends on the type of current visa and the sponsor (verification required).
- Condition: At least 30 days of validity must remain on the current visa to process the conversion.
Processing Time
- OFFSHORE: 30 days for the KITAS + work permit.
- ONSHORE: 40 days for the KITAS + work permit.

Process
- Step 1: Submit the required documents.
- Step 2: Our team will verify the documents.
- Step 3: Make the payment for the KITAS.
- Step 4: The process begins (30 days after payment).
- Step 5: Receive the e-Visa (via WhatsApp or email). You have 90 days to enter Indonesia with the e-Visa. Beyond 90 days, the e-Visa will no longer be valid.
- Step 6: Arrive in Indonesia. Present the e-Visa at immigration to activate the KITAS (1 or 2 years).
What is important to know
- This residence permit allows you to work legally in an Indonesian company.
- It enables you to earn a salary.
- The KITAS must be sponsored by the employing company.
- Maximum validity: 6 years (including extensions).
- You can freely enter and exit the country.
- You must adhere to the region associated with your work permit.
- The KITAS allows you to sponsor your relatives with a Family KITAS.
- Overstaying the KITAS validity incurs a penalty of IDR 1 million per person per day.
- The KITAS can be converted into another type of KITAS with a Bridge Visa.
- An EPO (Exit Permit Only) is mandatory when the KITAS expires.
- The KITAS validity can be adjusted to match your stay.
- Work permit cost $100 per month.
- If you apply for a Working KITAS for less than 1 year, extensions are not allowed.
- Immigration regulations are subject to change at any time.

Required Personal Documents
- Job title (choose from a list of authorized positions).
- Passport-sized photo.
- Copy of passport with a minimum validity of 18 months.
- University diploma or high school certificate.
- Employment contract
- CV (Curriculum Vitae).
- Proof of insurance in your name (PDF format).
- Copy of the last 3 months’ bank statements (minimum $2,000 USD).
- Address in Indonesia.
- Employment contract with an Indonesian company.
- Current electronic visa (ONSHORE only).
- Boarding pass (OFFSHORE only).
Documents Required from the Employer
- Company deed (The deed of the company / Akta).
- SK Menkumham.
- NIB (Company Identification Number).
- Company letterhead (with physical stamp).
- Balinese KTP (local ID card) or director’s identity card/passport.
- SKTU (Temporary Work Authorization).
- NPWP (Company tax number).
- Login credentials for the online visa portal (if available). If not available: Bank statement of the company (minimum $10,000 USD).
- WLKI (Local Employee Report): 1 foreign employee must be accompanied by 10 local employees.
- Certificate of foreign assistant (for extension)
- Company organizational structure that lists foreign worker positions.
